Pr Karim Bensalah is Head of the Urology Department at the Rennes University Hospital Center. As part of his surgical training, he spent a year in Dallas, Texas, USA, specializing in minimally invasive surgical techniques, particularly robotic surgery.
He was appointed University Professor in 2011, when he assumed responsibility for the Urology Department.
Due to his academic responsibilities, Pr Karim Bensalah is heavily involved in clinical and basic research.
Pr Karim Bensalah was an expert member of the Cancer Committee of the French Association of Urology (AFU) and is now a member of the AFU’s Administrative Committee. He also served on the European Guidelines Group on Kidney Cancer Management.
